I’ve been working on and off on this piece for a few days, and thought it was done, but it seemed so flat and as though it was missing something. I decided to shade it, giving it some depth and contrast, and I think it turned out well. A friend of mine came up with the name, ”Le tourbillon de la vie” meaning The Whirl of Life, and I loved it. It seemed so appropriate for the piece. It is a mixed media piece using watercolor, black marker and pencil. What do you guys think?

I think it’s awesome, at first sight I thought it was needlework !
Thank you so much! I am think of making a really huge one that sort of interlaces each of the circles (the circles would be somewhat hallow in the middle).. Not sure if that makes sense, but I guess keep a look out for it! =)
I look forward to see the finnished work ! I like to work with circles and rounded forms and lines, don’t know why but somehow when I start to draw it always turns out “rounded”
have fun doing what you are doing !
I know what you mean, my work always turns into some sort of pattern! I love how it calms me! =)
True ! Drawing and painting is very calming. Personally I love to work with all sorts of blue colours, I feel good when I am working with blue.
I totally agree!
This is an awesome piece! In fact, I made something quite like it a couple years ago. I am intrigued by the focus on yours, though, as mine was more aimed at the pressure society puts on people to conform to mainstream media and public opinions. Thanks for sharing your artwork, you are very talented
Thank you so much! I’m actually thinking of doing this piece as a 2×3 foot piece with a twist, but Im in the progress of trying to finish a few pieces before I start it!
I think that it would look fantastic as a larger piece! It’s definitely something I would hang on my wall
Do keep a look out then!
