Sita Sings the Blues

Standard

I fell in love with this film the moment I started watching it. I noticed half way through it that I hadn’t moved an inch and it felt as though I hadn’t blinked in ages because I was afraid I would miss one of the fascinating little details.

Sita Sings the Blues is a 2008 animated feature film. It was written, directed, produced and animated by Nina Paley. There was the exception of some animation done by Jake Friedman in the “Battle of Lanka” scene. The animated feature film primarily used 2D computer graphics and Flash Animation and is an animated version of an Indian tale of Ramayana with 1920’s jazz vocals of Annette Henshaw.

The film is incredible! The visuals are brilliant, the music is enjoyable, the entire film was a delight! Its one of those films that sticks with you, and makes you wonder if you are one some sort of drug!

Below is the full movie! Enjoy! =)
